FHWien der WKW is Austria’s leading university of applied sciences for management and communication. Working in close contact with Austrian corporations, FHWien der WKW offers comprehensive and practice-oriented academic programs to over 2,800 students.
Two thirds of our teaching staff have a background in business. Our programs are tailored to the needs of companies, optimally preparing our graduates – over 15,100 to date – for their future careers. FHWien der WKW works closely with businesses on numerous projects. Our students must complete an internship, which helps them to put their acquired knowledge into practice.

FHWien der WKW is Austria’s leading university of applied sciences for management and communication. Its Bachelor’s and Master’s programs offer around 2,900 students a practical academic education. FHWien der WKW offers practical Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in the fields of management and communication. Most of the Bachelor’s programs can be taken either part-time alongside work or full-time. All Master’s programs are offered exclusively on a part-time basis. Three degree programs are taught entirely in English.

Studying at a university of applied sciences offers many advantages over studying at a traditional university:
- High practical relevance: practical projects in small groups, excursions, field trips, lecturers with practical experience, professional internships and much more.
- Optimal compatibility with work, family, friends and leisure time: various study formats (full-time, part-time, dual) – suitable for every life situation
- Fixed “classes” (cohorts) with a maximum of 35–40 people: no overcrowded lecture halls and no competition for seminar places
- Good organization: fixed timetables and exam dates for better planning
- Internationality: mandatory semester abroad in full-time study programs, three English-language study programs
