Admissions Procedure for Master’s Programs

Have you fulfilled the admission requirements for a Master’s degree at FHWien der WKW?

Then nothing is standing in your way to applying. The following application steps are waiting for you:

  1. Starting from January 8, 2020, you can apply for study programs at FHWien der WKW which start in autumn 2020. The application deadline is June 4, 2020. For applicants with final documents from a third country, the application period ends on May 5, 2020.

  2. You will receive your personal login data via e-mail once you have registered. With the login data, you will have access to our online application form. This form should be printed out once you have filled it out.

  3. You will need various copies of documents as well as your printed and signed application form. You can find out which documents you need in the checklist for Master’s students.

Applicants with a foreign degree must have their documents translated into German or English by a court certified translator. Please respect the relevant rules of certification for your country. Determining the equivalence of certificates/degrees from foreign countries can take up to three weeks. For this reason we recommend that you send in the relevant documentation in a timely manner.

  4. Together with a printout of the application form, all application documents (loose, not stuck together in any way) should be sent by mail to:

    FHWien der WKW
    Service Point

    Password: BEWERBUNG
    Währinger Gürtel 97
    1180 Vienna

The postmark is used as proof of the date of mailing.

  5. Once we have received your documents, you will receive an e-mail requesting that you log in and choose a date for your test. The test will take place online in 2020 due to the corona crisis. Therefore you do not have to come to FHWien der WKW.

Please choose a date that suits you (test dates are offered on a first come – first served basis). For organizational reasons it is not possible to change the date of your test.

    Information about the online test

Please note that you need a stable internet connection and a computer with a camera to participate in the computer-based test.

For the selected test date the link to the test will be sent to you by e-mail. The link may only be opened on the test date. Opening it outside the agreed time window will invalidate the test. In this case, you will not be provided with another test date and no further attempt will be made.

The test dates to be selected cover 180 minutes. This includes technical preparation, ID check and completion of the time-limited test.

You will have 35 minutes for each test you have to take. After this time frame has expired, the test will be aborted. Tests that are not completed will also be assessed.

By choosing the test date you agree to this procedure.

Further details, including technical requirements, can be found on the information page for the admission test.

The degree program-specific admission procedure will not take place in 2020.
