What happens when innovative teaching methods meet international perspectives? Xiaoming Zhu from the Competence Center for Business English explored just that during an Erasmus+ Teaching Week at ESHTE (Estoril Higher Institute for Tourism and Hotel Studies), one of FHWien der WKW’s partner universities in Portugal.
From classrooms full of motivated students to inspiring exchanges with colleagues, the visit offered diverse opportunities to share expertise, explore new perspectives, and exchange creative approaches to teaching and learning.
Through serious games, gamified classroom activities, and action-based learning, Xiaoming Zhu introduced interactive teaching methods designed to make learning more immersive, engaging, and meaningful.
Beyond the classroom, the week also opened the door to potential future collaborations between the two institutions, strengthening international connections and laying the groundwork for further academic exchange.
