You will receive your personal login data via e-mail once you have registered. With the login data, you will have access to our online application form. This form should be printed out once you have filled it out.
You will need various copies of documents as well as your printed and signed application form. You can find out which documents you need in the checklist for Master’s students.
Applicants with a foreign degree must have their documents translated into German or English by a court certified translator. Please respect the relevant rules of certification for your country. Determining the equivalence of certificates/degrees from foreign countries can take up to three weeks. For this reason we recommend that you send in the relevant documentation in a timely manner.

Computer-based admissions test
The test will take place online in 2020 due to the corona crisis. Therefore you do not have to come to FHWien der WKW.
The computer-based admissions test takes place electronically. In the general (cross-disciplinary) part, your general business administration skills will be tested. The focus of the subject-specific part is on user-oriented business administration knowledge and understanding of management contexts.
Depending on your prior business knowledge, we recommend the following literature to help you prepare for the admissions test:
- Ebert, R.J., Griffin, R.W.: Business Essentials, Pearson, United Kingdom, 2018, 12th edition
- Drury, C.: Management Accounting for Business, Cengage Learning EMEA, United Kingdom, 2019, 7th edition
It is not compulsory to read everything; they are just suggestions that you could use to prepare yourself with.
We see ourselves as the leading university of applied sciences for management & communication. Therefore, you can expect a particularly challenging admissions procedure.
Since we want to know what potential you have, the computer-based test contains a number of questions that are not easy to answer. Please do not be discouraged by this! This will give us a more accurate picture of your potential and talents.
Seize the opportunity to show us what potential and strengths you already have!
Information about the online test
Please note that you need a stable internet connection and a computer with a camera to participate in the computer-based test.
For the selected test date the link to the test will be sent to you by e-mail. The link may only be opened on the test date. Opening it outside the agreed time window will invalidate the test. In this case, you will not be provided with another test date and no further attempt will be made.
The test dates to be selected cover 180 minutes and include technical preparation, ID check and completion of the time-limited test.
You will have 35 minutes for each test you have to take. After this time frame has expired, the test will be cancelled. Tests that are not answered in full will of course also be assessed.
By choosing the test date you agree to this procedure.
Further details, including technical requirements, can be found on the information page for the admission test.
The degree program-specific admission procedure will not take place in 2020.
