The COVID-19 pandemic has left its trace on stationary retail. Therefore, WIEN MITTE The Mall engaged our English taught cohort from the Bachelor’s program in Corporate Communication to create innovative activation campaigns to stimulate visits.

The Bachelor’s program in Corporate Communication offers broad, in-depth and comprehensive know-how in all analog and digital communication disciplines such as

If you are searching for a communication study program in German, you have to choose the Bachelors’ program in Kommunikationswirtschaft, which is entirely taught in German. Only some modules are in English.
At FHWien der WKW you study real business. All study programs have a very high practical relevance. Two-thirds of the lecturers come directly from the business world and pass on their expertise to our students.
During business field projects and case studies our students deal with real assignments from companies. Furthermore, skills such as storytelling, content creation (image editing, video and audio production) including AI tools are on the timetable. Moreover, you are required to complete a professional internship in the 5th semester.
The Bachelor’s program in Corporate Communication is suitable for everybody who wants to pursue an international career in any field of communication. This program is entirely taught in English.
The Corporate Communication study program explores communication in all its dimensions — from public relations and media to internal communication, integrated campaigns, content creation and storytelling. Students learn how to design and manage communication processes strategically and across multiple channels to strengthen an organization’s image and relationships. This program is perfect for those who aspire to careers in corporate communications, public relations, content strategy, internal communication or within communication and media agencies.
The Marketing & Sales study program focuses on how products and services are successfully marketed and sold. It combines traditional marketing tools with modern approaches in digital marketing, sales management and customer relationship development. Students gain the skills to plan and execute marketing campaigns, develop sales strategies and manage customer acquisition and retention — preparing them for dynamic roles in marketing, digital business and sales management.
Organization
The Bachelor’s program in Corporate Communication lasts 6 semesters.
The Bachelor’s program in Corporate Communication is a part-time study program. Lectures take place on Monday and Thursday from 8.30 a.m. until 5.20 p.m. and on Tuesday and Wednesday from 6.30 p.m. until 9.45 p.m. If necessary, there will be one intensive week per semester. Occasionally, courses take place on Saturdays.
If you are searching for a full-time study program, you have to choose the Bachelor’s program in Kommunikationswirtschaft, which is entirely taught in German. This study program is available either full-time or part-time.
You must plan approximately 40 hours per week for the Bachelor’s program in Corporate Communication.
It’s a part-time study program and therefore designed to be easily combined with a job.
No, proof of employment is not required. Due to the schedule, part-time study programs give working professionals the opportunity to efficiently combine their career and studies. However, employment is not mandatory.
International
No, a semester abroad is only mandatory for our full-time study programs.
However, it is recommended in the 4th semester as a semester abroad is an unforgettable experience and offers a unique opportunity to get to know foreign cultures, improve foreign language skills and make international friends. It is also a great asset on your resume.
FHWien der WKW cooperates with approximately 160 partner universities worldwide. An overview of our partner universities can be found here. Please note that not every partner institution is suitable for every study program. You can use the map to filter which partner universities are suitable for your study program.
When applying for a semester abroad, students must specify four partner universities where they would like to spend their semester abroad (1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th choice). Places for study abroad are allocated based on average grades. If average grades are the same, there are additional selection criteria such as the first-come-first-served principle, based on the date of submission of the application.
Career & Job
Yes, it is mandatory to do a professional internship in the 5th semester. Students who already have relevant job experience can transfer credits.
You will receive a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business.

Once a year in fall, FHWien der WKW also holds its Career Day. This career fair offers a free CV check and an application photo shoot. You can also get in touch with exciting companies and find out about current job vacancies.
Costs & Subsidies
Tuition fees amount to € 363.36 per semester for EU and EEA citizens, Swiss citizens and third-country nationals with exceptional circumstances. Third-country nationals who do not qualify for exceptional circumstances are required to pay different tuition fees.
In addition to the tuition fees, the ÖH contribution and the special contribution of € 25.20 per semester must be paid.

Under certain conditions, students are entitled to various forms of financial support (e.g. study grants, travel allowances, insurance contributions, childcare allowances) and scholarships (e.g. graduation scholarships, self-support scholarships). The ÖH FHWien is available to answer any questions you may have.
In accordance with the Study Grant Act (Studienförderungsgesetz), merit-based scholarships are also awarded each year for outstanding achievements in the previous academic year. The amount of each scholarship is determined annually by the Federal Ministry of Science and Research and ranges from EUR 726.72 (double tuition fees) to EUR 1,500.00. You will be informed annually about the application and award process by mail.

Start of studies
The program begins at the start of the winter semester in early September.
For first-semester students, there is a kick-off event where you can meet the Head of Program and lecturers as well as your fellow students and receive important information about the university and your study program.
