These are our top PR talents under 30!

June 1, 2023

Two graduates and one student from the Communication Management study programs at FHWien der WKW received the PR Talent 2023 award from the industry magazine “Österreichs journalist:in”.

Thanks to its excellent practice-oriented academic education, the  Communication Management study programs at FHWien der WKW has already produced many a PR talent. A large number of alumni are in top positions in the PR industry or in corporate communications. For the first time, the industry magazine Österreichs journalist:in has created the corresponding award to bring young talents of this industry in front of the curtain: “Top 30 PR talents under 30”. We are particularly proud that two graduates and one student have been selected as one of the Top 30 PR Talents 2023! Let us introduce our PR talents to you in more detail:

Alexander Hoor

The graduate from the Bachelor’s program in Corporate Communication joined Wien Energie in 2019 as part of his professional internship, where he moved through several career stages in the communications field. He has now been press officer for the energy supplier since 2022 – a challenging job that he masters with openness and commitment. Previously, he worked primarily in the non-profit sector in public relations. What particularly excites him about his current job is the interplay between content-related discussions and technical skills in communications work, because as a press officer he has to master the communications craft and at the same time understand what it’s all about in terms of content.

He very much appreciates the fact that his studies at FHWien der WKW have trained him to be a generalist with a broad overview of all communication disciplines, as well as the business know-how: He particularly remembers the lecture “Financial Management and Investment” – also to his own surprise – and of course the team spirit together with his fellow students and the business field projects!

To have been chosen as one of the top 30 PR talents under 30 is a great honor for him and he is very happy about it!

Beate Leb

While still studying for her Master’s degree in Communication Management, the graduate joined Energie AG Oberösterreich as press officer in August 2021. Previously, she had worked in various positions in Marketing & PR. She mastered her entry at the time of the emerging energy crisis with flying colors. She particularly enjoys working with colleagues in an exciting industry – she is not bored a single day!

When choosing her master’s degree program, the alumna specifically looked for a combination of lectures on communications management and soft skills. She particularly liked the holistic approach to integrated communication, working together in a team and the know-how for successful project management. She also learned how to react to new situations.

She is very happy about the award, which she feels is a great appreciation of her work and is very grateful for it!

Clemens Grossberger

Clemens Grossberger is currently studying the Bachelor’s program in Corporate Communication with us. He has been working for the press and public relations department of Climate Alliance Austria since 2020 and was previously also involved with Fridays For Future, where he was in charge of a team of 40 persons in the area of online communications and advertising. He is particularly committed to sustainability and climate protection. What he particularly likes about his current job is the opportunity to work on a daily basis on an issue that is of paramount importance for the future of our planet.

For him, studying corporate communications at FHWien der WKW has proved to be an excellent basis for a successful career in the PR industry. In this case, of course, the broad range of specialist knowledge, but also the ability to develop effective communications strategies, to deal confidently with journalists and to speak a convincing language. And of course, in addition to the know-how in the individual communication disciplines, he also appreciates the extensive lecture “Marketing” with its “4Ps”. Working on group projects, where he has grown together with his fellow students, makes FHWien der WKW a place where he enjoys spending time.

The recognition he has received from industry professionals through this award fills him with pride. But he also sees this award as his personal obligation to make a difference. For example, just recently one of his campaigns won two Golden Venus at the 2023 CCA Gala!
