Presentation skills & staging – ready for the job with social skills

February 12, 2026

In the first semester, the “Social Skills” module trains and develops presentation techniques, interaction skills, and body language. This includes a focus on the professional online presentation of content.

At the end of January, the first-semester students of the Bachelor’s program in Corporate Communication (full-time and part-time) impressively demonstrated their newly acquired expertise at the end of the semester. Through storytelling and the use of creative media transitions and surprising samples, the aspiring communication generalists enriched their professionally designed presentations.

Some presentations also included self-produced video clips and surveys. The diverse topics ranged from innovative apps, security concepts, teaching and learning innovations, dynamic fitness programs, and skills platforms to wearables, matcha teahouse concepts, and the sustainable use of clothing.

The events were led by a team of moderators chosen by the students, who brought creative ideas to the proceedings. In the subsequent discussion with the jury members, all groups demonstrated their argumentative agility.

The students impressively and successfully demonstrated their acquired skills in presentation techniques and body language. The lecturer team of the Competence Center for Leadership & Social Skills, Bettina Eibler, Gabriele Schöberl, and Gerald Kolar, were thrilled with the results – this provides an ideal foundation for their upcoming business field projects!
