In fall 2025, she was on the podium at three events: the innovation congress “Digital Planning, Construction & Operation”, the international partner network G100 with the “Mission Million” initiative, and the Circular Futures Conference 2025. In all three formats, she represented key topics such as digitalization, circular economy, and women’s leadership.

Expertise at innovation congress

On September 11, 2025, the innovation congress “Digital Planning, Construction & Operation” of the initiative “Digital Findet Stadt” took place in Vienna. This year’s focus was on the main theme “Innovation pays off – digital solutions for measurable added value”. Deinhammer opened the congress with the keynote speech “From Myopia to Protopia – the paradigm shift from short-term thinking to long-term value” and then took part in the panel discussion. This was dedicated to the question: “Innovation pays off – digital solutions for measurable added value.”

Her contribution placed a clear focus on the connection between digitalization and sustainability and long-term value creation in the real estate and construction industry. She showed that digital strategies only become economically effective when they are conceived in an integrative manner – i.e., planning, construction, and operation together and from the perspective of resource conservation and value preservation.

G100 Mission Million: Women Lead – Shaping the Circular Economy

At the invitation of the G100 Group of 100 Global Women Leaders initiative, Deinhammer attended the conference “The Role of Women for a Sustainable and Peaceful Future” at the Vienna International Center on September 12. G100 is a global network of leaders who are committed to equality, sustainability, and the impact of women in leadership roles under the motto “Mission Million”.

The endowed professor chaired the panel entitled “The Role of Women in the Circular Economy”. In this panel, she discussed with international experts in the circular economy their role — and the role of women — in a circular economic model. Topics such as business models for the circular economy, innovations in resource efficiency, and women’s leadership skills were the focus of the discussion.

Scandinavia & Austria: Paths to the circular city

In October 2025, Anna-Vera Deinhammer was a guest keynote speaker at the Circular Futures Conference at the Swedish Embassy in Vienna. In her keynote speech entitled “Sustainable, Smart & Circular Cities of the Future” she outlined how cities can be transformed toward a circular economy through strategic planning, resource-conscious architecture, and digital transparency. Of particular interest was the exchange with experts from Scandinavia and Austria on developing concrete paths to sustainable, circular cities.
