Students of the Master’s program in Executive Management learned first-hand from Florian Ögg, Forensic Manager at Deloitte management consultants, just how exciting balance sheet analysis can be – and what it has to do with detective work.
“Fraud detection through forensic investigations” was the name of the workshop held as part of our practice partner’s lecture “Balance sheet analysis”. After a one-hour theoretical overview of the basics of forensic investigations, it was the students’ turn. Real cases from practice were analyzed and processed in teams and the results presented. Florian Ögg was able to pass on valuable feedback to the students.
With his many years of experience as a forensic manager in managing and conducting international forensic investigations into fraud, corruption and money laundering cases, he was pleased with the many questions: “I am impressed by the depth of the discussion and the analytical approach of the students.”
