In a Blended Intensive Program (BIP) in Tilburg, students of the Master’s program in Communication Management at FHWien der WKW worked on a crisis case in international teams.
From November 16–21, 2025, five Master students of the study program Communication Management at FHWien der WKW participated in a Blended Intensive Program (BIP) about Crisis Communication at Fontys University of Applied Sciences in Tilburg (The Netherlands). The students from Austria, Greece, Belgium, Romania and the Netherlands have been presented with a crisis case they have worked on during the week.
Not only have they been challenged to deal with unexpected developments of the crisis in a real-time scenario, but they also had to prepare core messages as spokespersons for interviews, a TV talk show and a press conference.
The highlight of the week has certainly been the media training and the interviews at the Mindlabs TV studio conducted by Frank du Mosch, a well-known Dutch journalist, presenter and media trainer, and the visit of the newsroom of DPG Media Nederland.
Our students were accompanied by Simone Zwickl, academic expert and lecturer in strategic communication and lecturer at FHWien der WKW, who stated:
“A big thank you to the organizing team for this great week and also to my fellow coaches for their insights and expertise.
Congratulations to all the student teams and the Austrian participants for great teamwork. They excelled in the challenge to develop core messages, to present them in a convincing way, and to deal with difficult media questions.”
