International Retail Challenge in Vilnius

April 29, 2025

The Erasmus Blended Intensive Program (BIP) “International Retail Challenge” brought students of the Bachelor’s Program in Management & Entrepreneurship to the Vilniaus Kolegija in Vilnius, Lithuania.

In total, over 30 students from Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and Lithuania took part in this international exchange program. Over 5 days, the students worked in small international groups on innovative sales concepts for the Lithuanian supermarket chain MAXIMA. Using the Design Thinking methodology, they went through the Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype and Test phases to develop creative solutions for the Store of the Future.

The teams confidently presented their results to the MAXIMA LT project management and received valuable feedback from experts in the field. The program not only promoted creative thinking, but also intercultural exchange and cooperation across borders. In addition to the group work, there was also time to visit Vilnius, take part in sporting events and, of course, sample the local cuisine.
