Guests at EuroCHRIE 2025

December 2, 2025

From November 10 to 13, Sophie Gräf, Larissa Neuburger, Peter Klinger, and Florian Aubke had the opportunity to visit The Hague Hotel School, the host of this year’s EuroCHRIE conference.

EuroCHRIE is considered one of the most important international networks for teachers and researchers in the field of hospitality, tourism, and event management. Its aim is to promote global dialogue between academia and practice and to discuss innovative developments in education and training.

Peter Klinger and Sophie Gräf presented their papers on “Crossing Boundaries: Connectivity-Oriented Internship Pedagogy in Hospitality & Tourism Education” and “Creative Tourists’ Experience of Authenticity.

Larissa Neuburger and Florian Aubke led a workshop on “Empowering Students through AI: A Hands-On Workshop for Creating AI Tutors“, based on the MA23 project “Bridge Courses“.

The conference offered a diverse program with keynotes, scientific paper and poster presentations, interactive workshops, and numerous opportunities for professional exchange and networking. A festive gala dinner provided a fitting conclusion to the conference.

Participation not only gave us valuable insights into current research topics and innovative teaching approaches, but also provided us with the opportunity to present our own research projects and establish international contacts!
