In a project for the Austrian Parliamentary Administration, sixth-semester students in the Bachelor’s program in Management & Entrepreneurship conducted research on the topic of “Careers based on job profiles and competencies”.
Guided by Gabriela Michelitsch-Riedl, they first developed an overview of the current discussion on professional advancement and competency models. Building on this, two aspects were explored in greater depth, namely (primarily internet-based) potential analyses and suitable opportunities for advancing professional careers. The focus was also on digital platforms and AI tools, which are currently revolutionizing the way organizations identify, evaluate, and develop competencies and potential.
