Patrick Rupprecht is project manager of the MA23 project “Hybrid Intelligence & Generative AI Assistance for Innovation & Creativity in SMEs” at the Institute for Digital Transformation and Strategy (IDS) and Academic Expert & Lecturer Digital Economy.
On October 14, 2025, he was honored for his services to teaching and research at a ceremony on the campus of FHWien der WKW. In a very personal laudatory speech, Sebastian Schlund, Head of the Industrial Engineering Research Group at the Institute for Management Sciences (IMW) at TU Wien and Managing Director of Fraunhofer Austria, paid tribute to the future FH professor’s career to date.
In an impressive presentation, Schlund traced their joint professional path and provided insights into the work and projects that Patrick Rupprecht has accomplished and initiated in his field of research. This work continues to have an impact at TU Wien even years later and is being continuously developed in ongoing projects.
Sebastian Eschenbach, Head of the Department of Digital Economy at FHWien and moderator of the evening, also highlighted Rupprecht’s ability to make things happen or at least show ways in which they can be achieved. Following the official award ceremony for the FH professorship, this was celebrated together with colleagues and relatives.
