Business Plan Award 2020

December 2, 2020

The traditional business plan award from the Bachelor’s program Management-Entrepreneurship was organized as an online event due to the current pandemic. This was no reason to stop the students’ creativity and entrepreneurial spirit how. Six business plans were presented: an online outfit creator platform, a platform to connect investors and startups, a cooking app to reduce food waste, a technical solution to reduce and stop smoking, a platform to support busy bees, and a dating app without any superficiality.

The event of awarding the best business plans has taken place for years at FHWien der WKW. Together with our partners, GründerCenter und Förderservice of Erste Bank der oesterreichischen Sparkassen AG and i2b – the business plan initiative, the winner teams were awarded on November 17 for their performance during the summer semester 2020.

In third place, we would like to congratulate „Unity“. Luisa Burkhardt, Eya Chelly, Rubin Eva Langmann, Sonja Ploier and Ronja Stribick designed the concept of a dating app, that, according to „connecting souls, not bodies“, focus on personal qualities instead of outwardness. The authors define people between 20 and 30 years old as the main target group for this character-orientated platform.

In second place, the business plan of „SmokeTrEX“ was presented by Marvin Koller, Marco Kosztka, Martin Riegler und Leonard Schuler. The prototype of a box that supports smokers to reduce, or, in the best cases, to stop their consumption was originally designed by Master students at the University of Applied Sciences FH Campus. The team from FHWien der WKW enhanced the idea, analyzed the market potential and created a business strategy.

Finishing first in the contest of the best business plans 2020, congratulations to „INVE$TA“. Richard Böhm, Eva Maria Leitner und Leo Alexander Weber relied on an easy usable platform to connect potential and interested investors with startups looking for funding their companies. INVE$TA not just won the first place but was also elected by the audience for the best presentation.

Thanks a lot to Mr. Berthold Lehner from GründerCenter und Förderservice der Erste Bank der oesterreichischen Sparkassen AG for his presentation and the generous support in awarding the winner teams as well as thanks a lot to Nicole Kus from i2b for introducing the i2b business plan initiative.
