Studying without a Matura

Even without an Austrian high school diploma (Matura), you have the opportunity to study at FHWien der WKW under certain conditions:

  • If you have a relevant professional qualification (such as a relevant apprenticeship / BMS vocational school degree), you can take the additional examination.

The additional examinations must be taken in the subjects German 1, English 2 and Mathematics 1. They only qualify you for a specific degree program at FHWien der WKW; these additional examinations are not a generally valid university entrance qualification (“Studienberechtigungsprüfung”).

Please note the detailed information on the admission requirements for applicants with relevant professional qualifications: Link to the information sheet here (in German).

  • In addition, there is the route via the “Studienberechtigungsprüfung” (university entrance qualification) or “Berufsreifeprüfung” (secondary school vocational certificate). FHWien der WKW itself does not conduct vocational or university entrance qualification examinations.

Additional examinations of FHWien der WKW

The additional examination of FHWien der WKW is offered in cooperation with fit4fh.
