Online Info Day at FHWien der WKW Aroused Much Interest

March 16, 2021

Around 800 visitors took advantage of the opportunity to learn about the study programs offered by the university of applied sciences for management and communication from the comfort of their own homes.

Vienna, March 16, 2021 For the second time, FHWien der WKW opened its doors virtually on March 11, 2021 and invited prospective students to an Online Info Day. In live Zoom sessions, chats and videos, visitors were able to get an idea of the range of study programs on offer and ask FH staff their questions – easily and conveniently from home using a smartphone or laptop. Around 800 people took advantage of this opportunity and made the Online Info Day of the university of applied sciences, which specializes in management and communication, a success.

Study program presentations, virtual campus tours and “Ask a Student” sessions

The participants at the Online Info Day 2021 were able to

  • get to know the 10 Bachelor’s and 8 Master’s study programs of FHWien der WKW as well as the academic continuing education programs in online info events,
  • virtually explore the campus of the university of applied sciences,
  • gain insight into student and campus life in videos,
  • take the sample admissions test and get an impression of the tasks that have to be solved in the admissions test.

For the first time, the program included two “Ask a Student” sessions. Students who are involved in the ÖH of FHWien answered the questions of the visitors.

Applications for a university place can be submitted until May 3

“At the Online Info Day, a gratifyingly large number of participants seized the opportunity to learn interesting facts about our university of applied sciences,” explains Ing. Mag. (FH) Michael Heritsch, MSc, CEO of FHWien der WKW. “This great interest shows that our range of study programs with its clear focus on practice-oriented and business-related education in the field of management and communication is in great demand.” This is also evidenced by the high number of applications for university places in the current admission procedure, Heritsch added.

Prospective students can apply for a university place at FHWien der WKW until May 3, 2021 with a study start in the coming winter semester. For persons with diplomas from third countries, the application phase ends on April 6, 2021.
