Impulse Events for Sustainable Business

March 20, 2023

The research institute IBES of FHWien der WKW presents two discussions with experts on sustainability regulations and responsible innovation.

Vienna, March 20, 2023 – Under the motto “Ideas for Better Business”, the Institute for Business Ethics and Sustainable Strategy (IBES) hosts the Responsible Management Lectures on March 23 and March 30, 2023. The event series at the Audimax of FHWien der WKW is dedicated to the ethical aspects of business activities. “Transforming our economy toward greater sustainability requires constructive exchange and collaboration among stakeholders from the private and higher education sectors as well as from civil society,” explains Daniela Ortiz, Academic Head of IBES: “The Responsible Management Lectures create a space where the different perspectives can be brought forward in a factual and collegial manner, thus contributing to the quality of the discourse and improving mutual understanding.”

Exchange between business and science for a broad audience

The event series will kick off on March 23, 2023, with a panel discussion featuring representatives from industry, banking, the public sector and the scientific community.  The high-level panel will discuss the value of sustainability regulations and collaborative work in transforming the private sector of the economy. A presentation with discussion on building a more sustainable and circular construction sector from a practical and regulatory perspective will follow on March 30, 2023. For Nils Kruse, Head of IBES, “the Responsible Management Lectures are a special format in which leaders from business and academia discuss relevant social topics. The events are open to a broad audience and promote exchange between students, civil society and business professionals.”
