37 renowned companies were looking for talents at the career fair of the university of applied sciences for management and communication.
Vienna, October 10, 2022 – Finding employees is becoming increasingly challenging for companies. For many of them, FHWien der WKW has become a reliable partner that helps them find talents. At the annual Career Day, students and graduates of the university of applied sciences for management and communication are particularly sought after by HR professionals. On October 6, 2022, 37 top companies were present at the event.
Career Day back on campus after 2 years
“This time we were finally able to welcome our corporate partners in person again at FHWien der WKW’s campus,” says a delighted Michael Heritsch, CEO of FHWien der WKW. In the past two years, the Career Day was held online – also with great success. Nevertheless, both the company representatives and the students and alumni were thrilled to be able to meet in person.
Tips for a smooth job interview
The Career Day offered everything one needs to start his or her career. At the presentation “Successfully conducting job interviews”, Philipp Almhofer, Key Account Manager at Stepstone Austria, gave step-by-step instructions for a successful job interview. Visitors also had the opportunity to get tips from Thoman Gaiswinkler, Enterprise Account Executive DACH at LinkedIn, on how to make a successful digital appearance on the business and social media platform.
Practical study programs as a trademark
FHWien der WKW’s study programs are characterized by a high level of practical relevance. Currently, over 2,800 students are enrolled in one of the 18 Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in Communication Management, Digital Economy, Financial Management, Human Resources & Organization, Journalism & Media Management, Management & Entrepreneurship, Marketing & Sales Management, Real Estate Management and Tourism & Hospitality Management.
FHWien der WKW’s practical orientation was confirmed in 2020 by the internationally renowned U-Multirank university ranking initiated by the EU Commission. According to U-Multirank, the university of applied sciences ranks among the top 25 universities worldwide in the category “Contact to Work Environment” – out of 1,800 universities evaluated.
