HRO at the EURAM2019 Conference in Portugal

July 2, 2019

Barbara Covarrubias Venegas was pleased that her paper was accepted at this year’s EURAM 2019.

The European Academy of Management (EURAM) is one of the most renowned management conferences in Europe and offers an excellent platform for international scientific networking and exchange. This year the conference took place in Lisbon/Portugal: with a record number of 1700 visitors from over 65 countries.

The article entitled “An exchange semester abroad makes you culturally more intelligent, or not?” by Barbara Covarrubias Venegas from the Human Resources & Organization Study Programs and David Fuchs, MA (graduate from the study program) deals with the intercultural competence development of students at Austrian universities and the measures that can be taken to achieve this. The presentation met with strong interest within the framework of the very well attended Culture & Management Track.

The EURAM also included strategy meetings of the Special Interest Groups Teams, whose leadership team includes Barbara Covarrubias Venegas.
