The interest in cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin is unabated. This was also evident at the Alumni Talk on April 28. Around 65 participants listened intently to Nikolaus Jilch’s talk on “The future of money – on the trail of Bitcoin”.
The alumnus of the Journalism & Media Management study program gave an insight into the history of Bitcoin – it is still unknown who is actually behind this “invention”. Jilch also explained how Bitcoin works and what advantages using it has for different groups of people.
But why are we talking about Bitcoin at all? The cryptocurrency embodies some innovations which we did not know yet. To date, it is an experiment and thus also carries corresponding risks. As with many things, you have to admit that you don’t know everything, says Nikolaus Jilch.
After the exciting lecture, the participants got reading tips and discussed this exciting topic intensively with our alumnus.
