Over 100 participants from Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg and Austria took part – both in person and online – in the conference on 6 and 7 November 2025, which was organised in cooperation with GewissS (Society for Scientific Writing), the CTL at the University of Vienna and the Writing Centre at FHWien der WKW. The aim of the event was to highlight the complexity of the transformation processes surrounding academic writing – at the individual, organisational and structural levels. The Call for Participation provided an insight into the thematic focus of the conference in advance. The conference programme is available here.
Many of the contributions examined the topic of artificial intelligence from different perspectives: from innovative projects and research work to empirical studies and concrete applications in teaching. In addition to professional exchange, the conference offered an intensive opportunity for cross-institutional networking and personal exchange – an inspiring forum for everyone involved in writing, teaching and learning in times of change.
