Strategy, Market and Decision-Making: That´s Business Simulation

April 7, 2026

As part of the “Business Simulation” course, fourth-semester students in the Bachelor’s program in Finance, Accounting & Taxation had the opportunity to participate in a business simulation.

Working in groups, they took over the management of manufacturing companies, made strategic decisions — ranging from investments and financing to market and product strategies — over several simulated fiscal years, and implemented them.

The two-day business simulation brought real-world business contexts to life: Through the hands-on simulation, students were able to directly understand and help shape cash flows, operational relationships and accounting. The goal of the simulation was to strategically build up the companies over several fiscal years to ultimately present sustainably successful businesses. In a simulated practical setting, the students practiced strategic thinking, teamwork and decision-making under uncertainty.
