As part of the “Mentoring” course, first-semester students of the Bachelor’s program in Finance, Accounting & Taxation had the opportunity to learn more about BDO on September 23, 2025. With around 1,100 employees in Austria, BDO is one of the leading providers in the fields of auditing, tax consulting, commercial law consulting and consulting.
During the presentation, students gained exciting insights into the company’s diverse fields of activity and possible career paths. Particular emphasis was placed on opportunities for professional development, the extensive range of training courses on offer, and BDO’s active support for training as a certified public accountant through the Chamber of Tax Advisors and Certified Public Accountants.
The speakers emphasized the importance of independent work, trust, and personal responsibility — core values that are lived out at BDO and offer attractive prospects, especially for young professionals. For the students, the lecture was a valuable opportunity to link theory and practice and to establish initial contacts with the corporate world.
The event highlighted the importance of early networking and information about career opportunities – a key concern of the program management within the framework of the mentoring course.
