Global Work – Alumni Talk with Stephanie Maukner & Valerie Grabner

March 18, 2026 | 6:15 pm – 7:15 pm

When work knows no boundaries—but taxes do

In this Alumni Talk, our alumnae Stephanie Maukner and Valerie Grabner provide exciting insights into tax issues relating to “global work.”

The talk will provide you with a concise, practical overview of the tax implications of cross-border work and remote work. The speakers will highlight current challenges for employees and employers, present typical practical cases, and address key risks such as double taxation, multiple tax obligations, and compliance requirements.

Whether you yourself work internationally, employ staff abroad, are planning cross-border working models for the future, or are simply interested in this topic and the speakers’ everyday work, this talk offers valuable guidance and concrete recommendations for action.

In the talk, the experts combine tax basics with insights from international consulting practice and make it clear why “global work” is one of the key topics of the future in tax law. Of course, there will also be plenty of time for your questions and personal exchange.
