Developing Solutions Together for International HR Issues

September 3, 2026

A special project took ten students from the bachelor’s programs Human Resources Management and Management & Entrepreneurship to France in June 2026: The Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program (BIP) in Saint-Étienne focused on the fascinating topic of “International Human Resources Management”.

Together with students from The Hague University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands) and Université Jean Monnet in Saint-Étienne (France), they worked on current issues in international human resources management.

Exchange within International Teams

Following a virtual kick-off, the participants met in person on the Saint-Étienne campus from June 8 to 12. Working in internationally diverse teams, they tackled assignments related to recruitment and employer branding for selected industries and, in this context, compared the labor markets in the Netherlands, France, and Austria. To this end, they also conducted interviews with experts in advance.

The project work was complemented by various social activities, including a visit to the Stade de Saint-Étienne and a group excursion to Lyon.

This marked the ninth edition of the BIP, which offered students the opportunity to gain practical experience, expand their networks, and further develop their skills in an international setting.
