Alumni Story: Regina Loster

Before starting her part-time Bachelor’s degree at FHWien der WKW, Regina Loster (formerly Pechgraber) initially joined Bacardi-Martini Austria as a Sales Assistant, developed into a Trade Marketing Manager and began her part-time studies. This was followed by a move to Coca-Cola HBC Austria in the marketing department, where she held various positions while successfully completing her extra-occupational studies and eventually becoming Key Account Manager. Her career then took her to Pernod-Ricard Austria as Head of Marketing. With around 20 years of professional experience, she has been Managing Director of Marketing Club Austria since fall 2023.

Studying at FHWien der WKW has played a key role in her career:

“For me, practice, education and ongoing training go hand in hand. During my part-time studies at FHWien der WKW, I found exactly these prerequisites. In addition to an irreplaceable foundation for my career in marketing & sales in the consumer goods industry, FHWien der WKW always combines educational experience, i.e. theoretical knowledge, with a very practice-oriented education and the teaching of soft skills. I benefit from this almost every day in my new challenge. In my 20 years of professional experience, I have benefited from being served these two worlds in such a harmonious way. I am looking forward to the cooperation between Marketing Club Austria and FHWien der WKW and to further developing the marketing landscape together.”

Alumni Story: Niko Pabst

Niko Pabst graduated from FHWien der WKW with a degree in Marketing & Sales. After graduating, he worked in various positions in the advertising agency environment and held management positions there. In 2008, he founded his own agency77, which he still runs today as owner and managing director. In 2017, he also founded the sampling agency Freudebringer, which is now active throughout the DACH region, and in 2023 the agency Awardix. In 2013, he took over the management of the MCÖ and built the marketing club into the number one club in Austria’s marketing industry. In September of this year, he handed over the reins to Regina Loster, but is still responsible for managing the awards.

For the FHWien der WKW graduate, the degree program was a key driver for his career path:

“My education in Marketing & Sales at FHWien der WKW was the foundation for my career path and the success of my agency and the further development of Marketing Club Austria. Here I learned to understand and apply complex market mechanisms, to build brands with creative and strategic acuity and to develop effective sales strategies. The practice-oriented approach of the University of Applied Sciences enabled me to put theory directly into practice – a skill that is essential in the fast-paced marketing and agency industry. FHWien der WKW was and is an essential building block of my professional self-image, my daily work and also laid the foundation for an extensive network in the marketing industry.”

FHWien der WKW maintains close contact with both alumni. In the course of the cooperation with the MCÖ, FHWien der WKW looks forward to continued good cooperation and a lively exchange. MCÖ Vice President, Board Member and Head of Department of Communication at FHWien der WKW Sieglinde Martin congratulates:

“We are delighted that the management of the Marketing Club Austria has once again been filled by an alumna from our ranks. This shows that an excellent industry-specific education at an academic level creates the basis for an extraordinary career path!”
