From May 25 to 29, 2026, five students from the Master’s Program Executive Management participated in the program’s first Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program (BIP).
The program was hosted by Kozminski University in Warsaw. Together with more than 70 students from Poland, France, the Netherlands, Spain, and Austria, they worked on the “Social Entrepreneurship Challenge: Future for Good.”
The Erasmus+-funded program brought together students from Kozminski University (Poland), Montpellier Business School (France), Zuyd University of Applied Sciences (Maastricht, Netherlands), ESIC University (Spain), and FHWien der WKW. The goal was to combine international collaboration with innovative approaches to social entrepreneurship.
Social Entrepreneurship in an International Context
The week focused on how entrepreneurial thinking can help solve societal challenges. The program combined lectures, case studies, teamwork, and hands-on challenges. Right from the start, the international students got to know one another through country presentations and a campus tour, and kicked off their first assignment: the “Warsaw Video Challenge: City as a Living Lab”. The program also included keynote speeches on sustainable business models and financing options for social businesses.
From Idea to Social Business
Building on a case study on social business, the students worked in international teams to develop concepts and create pitch decks for their projects. They were supported by expert guidance on designing social business models.
The highlight was the multi-part “Social Business Challenge”, during which the teams further developed and presented their ideas. The best concepts were honored at a closing event. In addition to the awards for the social business projects, the results of the “Warsaw Video Challenge” were also recognized.
Learning Across Borders
In addition to the academic content, international exchange played a central role. Joint activities, networking events, and cultural programs offered numerous opportunities to gain new perspectives and connect with students from all over Europe.
For the participating executive management students, the BIP was a special experience. One participant described the week as one of the highlights of her master’s program so far:
“I would definitely recommend the BIP! The week in Warsaw was really one of my highlights in my master’s so far. The possibility to learn more about Social Entrepreneurship in such an interactive environment, the change to visit Warsaw and to meet students from all over Europe was a really enriching and unforgettable experience.”
The students also particularly valued international collaboration:
“The BIP was a great experience, especially for students like me who are interested in working with international groups and learning about different cultures. It was also interesting to hear from lecturers and experts from outside Austria, as they shared different business / sustainability perspectives and ideas compared to what experts we have here talk about.”
