September 12, 2023

From October 3 to 6, 2023, more than 200 delegates will meet at FHWien der WKW for the conference of the largest international association of hotel and tourism training institutions.

Vienna, September 12, 2023 – The countdown is on: In exactly three weeks, EuroCHRIE 2023 will kick off. The annual conference of tourism educators from Europe, the Mediterranean region and Africa will this time take place on the campus of FHWien der WKW. Themed “Changing Realities. New Opportunities”, a top-class program with renowned speakers that combines practice and theory awaits the more than 200 delegates.

Burning issues in the tourism industry

For more than a year, the team of the Tourism & Hospitality Management study programs at FHWien der WKW has been planning the conference in Vienna together with the EuroCHRIE board. Head of Study Programs Florian Aubke is looking forward to the conference: “We are happy to be able to discuss the most burning issues of the tourism industry with more than 200 delegates and speakers. The ‘Changing Realities’ mentioned in the conference title have accelerated the development of ‘New Work Realities’ and the digital transformation. We are also seeing a change in consumer behavior and travel patterns. And teaching methods and didactics in tourism education are also changing.”

The conference will discuss current research on urban tourism, sustainability, new work realities and digitalization. “Understanding the Motivations of Plant-based Event Enthusiasts”, “Chatbots in Hospitality Business” or “Diversity Management in a Hotel” are just three out of 103 presentations.
