The Global Case Study Challenge – a virtual highlight

December 17, 2020

A very special virtual experience was offered to our Master’s students this semester in the Global Case Study Challenge.

In the Global Case Study Challenge, our students were offered a virtual highlight in the course “Organizational Culture and Intercultural Management” in the first semester of the Master’s program in Organizational & Human Resources Development. Together with in total 600 students from 22 universities in 14 different countries, they were able to work together and develop their intercultural and virtual competencies and skills in a diverse learning environment.

For this purpose, a specially developed virtual space was created in Miro, which served as a conference framework for keynote lectures with international experts from research and business and for presentations by students. This transparent learning environment also allowed a lot of space for self-organized learning, feedback and reflection.

The innovative event design, which has received several teaching awards, is a cooperation project and was developed by Dr. Barbara Covarrubias Venegas, FH-Prof. Dr. Eithne Knappitsch, Dr. Anna Zinenko and Dr. Svetlana Buko.

We are very pleased that our students are given the opportunity to take part in experimental forms of teaching and learning and gain valuable experience and develop skills that they can implement and use both in their professional environment and in their further studies.
