Master students visit the new mobility centre of the ÖAMTC

October 9, 2018

Students of the Master’s Program Organizational & Human Resources Development visit the ÖAMTC and discuss the influence of architecture on corporate culture

Technological change and the digitization of working environments, increased global competition and the volatility of international markets call for networked collaboration across time and space. The research project New Ways of Working has been anchored in the study area Human Resources & Organization for more than five years, project leader: Dr. Barbara Covarrubias Venegas. Following the claim “A building is a place where future becomes reality”, the ÖAMTC accompanied by M.OO.CON has built a new headquarter, called ÖAMTC Mobility Center in Vienna-Erdberg, which incorporates nicely the ÖAMTC leitmotif and primary value”the human being at the center”. Just in time for the 120th anniversary, the new corporate headquarters was ready for more than 800 employees.

Corporate culture was an integral part of the whole project, as the claim was “We want to build more than only a house.” Students of the first semester of the Master’s Program Organizational & Human Resources Development learned more about the background of this project during a lecture by Herwig Kummer and Jutta Ableitinger from the ÖAMTC as well as Karl Friedl from M.OO.CON, followed by a guided tour through the new mobility centre.
