Logistics can be sustainable

May 11, 2026

The MLP Business Park Vienna in Vienna’s 22nd district is a prime example of this. At the end of April, students from the Real Estate Management study programs visited this modern commercial and logistics property. During their visit, they gained insights into sustainable real estate development, flexible usage concepts and the requirements of urban logistics locations.

The MLP Business Park Vienna consists of four buildings with a total area of approximately 53,600 m². The flexibly divisible units, starting at 1,300 m², are designed for companies in the fields of city logistics, e-commerce, manufacturing and light industry. Thanks to its proximity to the S2/A23 and Vienna International Airport, the location offers excellent infrastructure connections.

During the tour, Peter Falb, Chief Country Officer, presented the business park’s sustainable concept. The goal is to achieve a holistic reduction in CO2 emissions across the entire life cycle of the buildings. To this end, the project relies on photovoltaic systems, district heating and green outdoor spaces, among other measures. Additionally, the MLP Business Park Vienna has been awarded the DGNB Gold Certificate.

The First Tenants have already moved in

The first companies have already moved into the space. Among them is Vienna-based Demetra GmbH, which specializes in facility management services. Activeon, a sister company of the German firm JUMP House Holding GmbH, is also setting up shop in the business park. A new indoor family entertainment attraction is being built there on approximately 4,800 square meters.

The field trip offered students the opportunity to directly apply theoretical knowledge from their studies to a current real estate project and gain insights into the practical aspects of commercial and logistics real estate development.
