What do winners look like? Students of the Real Estate Management Study Programs found out during a FIABCI excursion to one of the international Prix-winning projects, the Hotel Prater Glacis, better known as the Superbude.

Michael Todt, Superbude Managing Director, gave a tour of the award-winning project and provided many interesting insights into the challenges and innovations of the hotel.

In the implementation of this project, managed by IG Immobilien, a standard task was rethought in many facets with a curious, refreshing look. A wide range of services such as home office, hybrid and digital infrastructure, as well as a homely lobby in the “Superbude” are a successful attempt to convey the flair of Vienna. A special feature of the project is the re-use concept of the circular economy: the majority of the hotel’s furnishings were purchased second-hand. This shows that sustainability and innovation can go hand in hand.

The project was awarded the international real estate award FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence in 2023 as the GOLD winner in the “Hotel” category.  The project was also among the winners in the “Hotel” category in the local competition in 2022.

The hotel tour was rounded off with a dinner at Neni am Prater – with a phenomenal view at the Prater amusement park.
