FHWien der WKW at the HR Inside Summit

October 23, 2026

What issues are shaping the HR industry today and in the future? The HR Inside Summit 2026 at the Hofburg in Vienna focused on current developments in human resource management, exciting insights from the field, and personal exchanges. Colleagues from the Human Resources & Organization study programs at FHWien der WKW were also in attendance. A special highlight: Head of Program Christina Schweiger served on the expert jury for the HR Awards and delivered the laudatory speech for the “HR Person of the Year” award winner — FHWien alumna Ingrid Heschl.

From Artificial Intelligence to Leadership: What’s Shaping the HR Industry

The HR Inside Summit is one of the annual gathering points for the Austrian HR industry. In addition to professional insights, the event focuses primarily on concrete insights into workplace practices. This year’s topics included, among others, artificial intelligence, leadership and trust, as well as pay transparency and compliance.

Networking and Sharing Perspectives

In addition to the expert presentations, the HR Inside Summit offered numerous opportunities for personal interaction. The many encounters and conversations with alumni, students, lectures, and industry experts were particularly rewarding. They once again highlighted just how closely the academic program is connected to HR practice — all against the beautiful backdrop of Vienna’s Hofburg Palace.

HR Award: Special Recognition for Alumna Ingrid Heschl

A highlight of the HR Inside Summit was the awards ceremony for the HR Awards. Each year, a panel of experts honors outstanding projects and individuals in the HR industry.

This year, FHWien der WKW was also represented on the jury: Head of Program Christina Schweiger contributed her expertise to the evaluation for the first time. It was a special honor for her to deliver the laudatory speech in the “HR Person of the Year” category.

The award went to Ingrid Heschl, an alumna of the Human Resources & Organization study programs at FHWien der WKW. In her laudatory speech, Christina Schweiger paid tribute to the award winner and emphasized how she has helped shape the HR industry through her work. (Christina Schweiger had nominated Ingrid Heschl but abstained from voting when the jury made its decision.)
