Starting from January 8, 2020 you can apply for a study program at FHWien der WKW, which start in autumn 2020. You will find all important information about the deadlines as soon as possible on this website.
You will receive your personal login data via e-mail once you have registered. With the login data, you will have access to our online application form. This form should be printed out once you have filled it out.
You will need various copies of documents as well as your printed and signed application form. You can find out which documents you need in the checklist for Bachelor’s students.
Applicants with a foreign degree must have their documents translated into German or English by a court certified translator. Please respect the relevant rules of certification for your country. Determining the equivalence of certificates/degrees from foreign countries can take up to three weeks. For this reason we recommend that you send in the relevant documentation in a timely manner.

The postmark is used as proof of the date of mailing.
Once we have received your documents, you will receive an e-mail requesting that you log in and choose a date for your test. The computer-based admissions test lasts for approximately three hours. Please choose a date that suits you (test dates are offered on a first come – first served basis). For organizational reasons it is not possible to change the date of your test.

Computer-based admissions test
Once we have received your documents, you will receive an e-mail requesting that you log in and choose a date for your test.
The admissions test lasts 2 hours 45 minutes and tests the following elements:
- Understanding of mathematical logic
- Verbal intelligence/creativity
Information about the duration of the test:
Please note, the computer-based test must be completed within a time period of two and a half hours, plus an extension period of max. 15 minutes. At the end of the 2 hours and 45 minutes the test will be stopped by the trainer. Tests that are not completed will still be marked. Keeping track of time is the responsibility of the student.
It will be made clear that the different test blocks take different amounts of time.
By choosing a date for the test, you are confirming your agreement with this process.
Degree program specific admissions procedure
Having successfully completed the admissions test, you will be invited to a self-presentation and personal interview, where we will get to know you better. The interview will be conducted by one or two representatives of the department and will last approximately 20 minutes.
The following areas will be discussed during the interview:
- Your reason(s) for studying
- Time management
- Criticism and conflict management
Please expect to spend approximately two and a half hours at FHWien der WKW (greeting, waiting etc.)
