The “Interconti”, as it is affectionately known by the Viennese, is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year and is considered the first international hotel in Vienna. A great opportunity to visit it with the Bachelor students of the Tourism & Hospitality Management program.
As part of the “Hotel Management” specialization, the students visited the hotel in April with lecturer Hani El-Sharkawi. General Manager Brigitte Trattner showed the group around the hotel and was happy to answer any questions. The students were particularly interested in taking a look behind the scenes and at the seminar rooms. The InterContinental Hotel is one of the largest seminar and conference hotels in Vienna, with 16 event rooms covering an area of around 1,200 m².
