In the lecture “Value Added Tax” in the 4th semester of the FH program Finance, Accounting and Taxation (Bachelor), a guest lecture was organized in May 2019.
The students had the opportunity to exchange views with FH graduates on the subject of “tax deduction according to § 12 UStG”. This subject is essential for every company in Austria and thus, a topic with which the students have to deal after graduation.
The speakers were tax adviser Alexander Wojciechowski, MA and auditor Mag. (FH) Michael Szücs. Of particular note is that the presentation was held by two former students, giving our students the opportunity to speak directly with people in the field about current issues. Since the end of their studies at the University of Applied Sciences, the two lecturers are now working as managers or partners in the consulting company “Grant Thornton”.
