What does modern modular residential construction look like in practice? During a field trip to Stockerau in Lower Austria, students from the Real Estate Management study programs gained firsthand insights directly on the construction site. On September 18, 2026, they toured a current residential construction project by the LZH Group on Prager Straße.
47 New Rental Apartments
A total of 47 modern rental apartments with approximately 3,116 square meters of living space are being built in Stockerau. A distinctive feature of the project is its modular construction. Assembly of the modular system began on June 29, 2026. By July 10 — after just two weeks of construction — the shell of the ground floor of Building 1, including the structural framework, building envelope, and elevator core, was already complete.
During the site visit, the students were able to see the construction progress for themselves and learn firsthand about the project’s implementation right on site.

The field trip was led by LZH project manager Patrick Strohmeier and Hartmut Liebster from the construction firm Lukas Lang. They guided the group through the project and provided insights into its on-site implementation.
Field trips like these complement classroom instruction by offering concrete insights into current real estate projects and showing students how real estate management issues play out in practice.
