IBES of FHWien der WKW invites to public lectures with prominent guests.

The climate crisis and not least the Covid-19 pandemic underline the urgency for a transformation of the socio-economic framework of our social life. With the lecture series “Responsible Management Lectures: Ideas for Better Business” IBES aims to initiate an interdisciplinary discourse on the future of our economic system with a special focus on economic and business ethics. Since the winter semester 2012, IBES regularly organizes a lecture series on general business ethics topics (formerly “CGBE Lectures”). For the winter semester 2020 we chose “The Political Responsibility of Business” as the overarching theme for the lecture series.

Dates:

22 October 2020, 18:30 – 20:00 “The Political Power of Multinational Corporations” with Prof. Dr. Anselm Schneider, Stockholm Business School.

05. November 2020, 18:30 – 20:00 “Collective Action on Living Wages” with Prof. Dr. Elke Schüßler, Johannes Kepler University Linz

The lectures are in English. They are held online via zoom.
