Creative Marketing Ideas for the Klimt Villa in Vienna: Students Develop Digital Strategies

October 16, 2026

How can digital marketing strategies help attract more visitors to a cultural venue in Vienna?

Fifth-semester students in the Bachelor’s program Tourism & Hospitality Management explored this question as part of the “Digital Marketing Project” course during the winter semester of 2025/26.

The practical project centered on a real-world challenge faced by the Klimt Villa Vienna: to increase the average number of daily visitors from the current 100 to at least 150 by the end of 2026 — an ambitious growth target of 50 percent.

Six teams, six creative marketing concepts

To achieve this goal, six student teams developed independent marketing concepts. In doing so, they engaged intensively with digital marketing strategies, consumer behavior, and innovative approaches to attracting visitors.

Theory Meets Practice

The project offered students the opportunity to work on a real-world business challenge and gain valuable experience in developing digital marketing strategies. At the same time, the Klimt Villa Vienna gained new perspectives and inspiration for its future visitor outreach.

A heartfelt thank you to the Klimt Villa Vienna for the successful collaboration, the trust placed in us, and the exciting challenge!
