CO2-neutral and energy-efficient: visit to Austria’s first modular business park

March 14, 2024

Sustainability and economic success go hand in hand here: at the CITY PARK VIENNA business park. Students from the Real Estate Management Study Programs from FHWien der WKW visited Austria’s first modular business park in the south of Vienna.

The project was presented and guided by the project manager of GO ASSET Development GmbH, Konrad Indra, MA. As a Real Estate Management graduate, he gave a tour of the site, which houses Austria’s first modular light industrial space to European standards in addition to a parcel distribution center and a BIG BOX logistics property.

The special feature of CITY PARK VIENNA is its environmentally friendly orientation. The modular business park developed on a greyfield is CO2-neutral thanks to geothermal energy. It also has a self-sufficient anergy network that ensures an efficient energy supply. DGNB Platinum certification, the highest award for sustainable buildings, is being sought. With over 1,000 trees on the site, the business park also creates a green oasis in the middle of a heavily built-up area.
