From February 3-4, 2024, the 16th European Mise en Place Cup took place in Maastricht in the Netherlands. And FHWien der WKW took also part. The Bachelor’s program in Tourism & Hospitality Management was represented by the students of the 1st semester Emilia Reiter, Emily Gamper, Eva Nittka & Kim Illig together with their coaches Andrew Pullen and Peter Klinger.
28 university and hotel management teams from 17 countries took part in this invitation-only competition for the hotel industry. With the theme “When Artificial Intelligence meets Human Intelligence”, the contest had its finger on the pulse of time and the competition was very strong!
The aims of the European Mise en Place Cup are to build networks within the tourism industry, exchange experiences and broaden educational horizons. The student teams also had the opportunity to meet potential employers and make valuable contacts within the industry.
