EY Visits the Bachelor’s Program in Finance, Accounting & Taxation

October 23, 2026

On October 21, 2026, EY Austria visited the Bachelor’s program in Finance, Accounting & Taxation at FHWien der WKW as part of the “Mentoring” course. Christoph Harreither, Partner in the Audit & Assurance practice and Government & Public Sector Lead, and Ines Doubek, Senior Recruiter at EY Austria, presented the company to both full-time and part-time students during two sessions.

EY is one of Austria’s leading auditing and consulting firms and employs more than 1,500 people across five locations in Austria. The two experts presented the company’s diverse range of practice areas, from auditing and tax consulting to management consulting, strategy, and transaction advisory services.

The focus was on practical insights into the professional world and the question of how job roles will change in the future. Christoph Harreither explained how auditors review financial statements, analyze business processes, and utilize modern technologies.

It became particularly clear just how significant digitalization, automated data analysis, and artificial intelligence already are today — and how they will shape auditing and tax consulting in the future.

In addition to the technical topics, the students also gained insights into EY’s corporate culture and career opportunities. Ines Doubek provided information on internships, career entry, and continuing education opportunities. She also highlighted EY’s commitment to diversity, sustainability, and social responsibility. Initiatives such as the Career Lunch, where interested students can get to know the company in a relaxed atmosphere, were also presented.

The two events offered students a valuable opportunity to connect theory with professional practice, ask questions directly to experienced company representatives, and learn about potential career paths and professional prospects.
