Competence Center for Business English makes a mark for FHWien der WKW in the international English Language Teaching Community.
From 1-5 April Catherine Prewett-Schrempf and Anna Weninger attended the 53rd Annual IATEFL (International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language) Conference in Liverpool, UK. As part of the BESIG Showcase (Business English Special Interest Group), for which only 6 presentations are chosen worldwide, Catherine and Anna gave a meaningful talk on gamifying a second semester Business English Communication course (BA MGMT) using the Moodle Level-Up plug-in. Their showcase presentation proved to be an engaging crowd-puller, with an audience of around 80 international peers.
In addition, Catherine and Anna attended diverse talks, workshops and forums, all at the cutting-edge of English Language Teaching. FHWien is thus firmly on the radar of the Business English language teaching community.
