On October 13, 2026, the Austrian consortium of the INDICATE LIFE project, with the kind support of FHWien der WKW, invites you to the closing event “Life Cycle Emissions of Real Estate – Findings from INDICATE LIFE.”

The event will focus on the project’s findings regarding Whole Life Carbon (WLC) in Austria — including national data, benchmarks and proposals for target limits to decarbonize the building sector. Attendees can expect an EU policy update, in-depth technical discussions on WLC, as well as a panel discussion and small-group discussions.

The event brings together perspectives from academia, industry, education and regulation, and offers an opportunity for direct exchange with experts and the project team.

About INDICATE LIFE

INDICATE LIFE addresses one of the most fundamental challenges in the decarbonization of buildings: the lack of data to support policy decisions and strategic business decisions. The goal of INDICATE LIFE is to determine the quality and quantity of national WLC building LCA data required for establishing benchmarks, target thresholds and policy measures in five EU countries.

INDICATE LIFE is the second phase of the initiative and was launched in October 2024 with 22 partners in eight EU countries, including national projects in Austria, Croatia, Italy, Luxembourg, and Hungary as follow-up countries.

This event will be held on German.
