As part of the Future Impact Days, the Real Estate Management Study Programs at FHWien der WKW are hosting the ESG Real Estate Talk on the topic “Vienna is built. Now what? – Perspectives for Residential Construction in Vienna.”

Program

  • Opening remarks by the Real Estate Management Study Programs (5 min)
  • Presentation of Leon Kronawetter’s* Master’s thesis, “Opportunities and Risks of Renovation Measures for Small and Medium-Sized Residential Complexes in Light of Economic Service Life, Life Cycle Analysis, and Economic Considerations” (10 min)
  • Presentation of Elia Stefan’s* Master’s thesis, “Decarbonization of the Existing Urban Fabric: On the Tension Between Economic Viability and Social Justice in Thermal-Energy Renovations of Legally Regulated Existing Buildings in Vienna” (10 min)
  • Panel discussion with Mag. Peter Engert (Managing Director of ÖGNI), Mag. Isabella Stickler* (Chairwoman & CEO of Alpenland Gemeinnützige Bau-, Wohn- & Siedlungsgenossenschaft), Arch. DI Kerstin Robausch-Löffelmann* (Board Member of BWSG), DI Gerald Beck, MRICS* (Managing Director of BIG Bundesimmobiliengesellschaft mbH) (45 min)
