Beate Huber

Beate Huber

Head of Academic Affairs

Chair of the Academic Board

Head of Department of Management

I feel motivated when I can see how my work contributes to the success of our university of applied sciences.

My first career aspiration: librarian (It was also my first real job.)

Work and family can usually be reconciled.

I can laugh heartily with colleagues, especially when we relieve tension during challenging tasks.

I cope with stress by reading crime novels.

My favourite dishes are from the Austrian and Italian cuisine, but I also love dishes from many other cuisines from all over the world.

My favorite place at FHWien der WKW is the canteen. This is where the best unexpected conversations take place over a meal.

My favorite book is “Where the Crawdads Sing” by Delia Owens.

I am full of energy when I’ve had a good night’s sleep.

What I like about my job is the constant further development.

My secret of success: leaving your comfort zone and taking on tasks that you would not have dared to do before.
