Route-to-Market: The last mile to the customer

On May 18 2021, around 45 interested students and alumni gathered with experts from Coca-Cola HBC Austria in the Zoom meeting room. In the introduction, Martin Rabitsch, Talent Acquisition & Identification Manager, showed the diversity of the Coca-Cola company and informed the participants about the various opportunities to start a career with the company.

Afterwards, Sales Strategy Project Manager Pascal Sampl took the audience into the world of Costa Coffee, the new coffee brand in the Coca-Cola portfolio. The motto: no one should have to settle for mediocre coffee. The expert gave exciting insights into the motives for launching a coffee brand in a “heavy coffee user” country like Austria as well as into the complicated processes behind the market launch. Route-to-market – that is the last mile to the customer and this process very often also means change within the company. Sampl not only showed how Coca-Cola set up the route-to-market strategy for Costa Coffee, but also how important it is to fully involve one’s own employees.

The participants took advantage of the Q&A session afterwards to learn even more details and exchange ideas with the two experts.
