Public Value Lecture #05 – Digitisation at ORF and the development of new formats for young target groups. Q&A with Wolfgang Geier, Editor-in-Chief at ORF 1.
The fifth event in the series “Public Value Lecture: Media & Democracy” in cooperation with the ORF Public Value Competence Centre will take place on the topic of digitalisation. Wolfgang Geier, Editor-in-Chief at ORF 1, will report on digitisation at the ORF, the development of the two new info formats “Magazin 1” and “ZiB 18” and answers questions about the digitisation plans at the ORF.
About Wolfgang Geier:
Wolfgang Geier has been working for the ORF since 1996. In 1999 he moved from Tyrol to Vienna to the radio domestic politics department of Österreich 1 (Ö1) and in 2001 to the television domestic politics department of ZIB 2. Since 2005 he has presented the ORF Press Hour, and since 2006 he has been editor of Zeit im Bild. From 2009 to 2013, he reported as ORF’s foreign correspondent from Washington, D.C., after which he became deputy department head of domestic politics at ORF television.
