Competence Center for E-Learning
The Competence Center for E-Learning is the point of contact for topics and questions related to the digitization of teaching at FHWien der WKW. We support teachers in the development of future-proof learning opportunities and promote the acquisition of the necessary skills.
The services offered by the Competence Center include training courses and workshops as part of the Didactics Continuing Education Program. In addition, we offer demand-oriented consulting sessions and regular network meetings.
Digital learning environment at FHWien der WKW
- Moodle is the central learning management system at FHWien der WKW and is used to manage courses.
- Zoom has been in use for synchronous distance learning units since the winter semester 2020/21.
- Learning videos can be uploaded to the video platform Panopto and made available to students thanks to Moodle integration.
- For the joint creation of documents, both teachers and students can use Microsoft 365.

E-Learning Help Course: Our Help Course is the first address for media didactics at FHWien der WKW. Here you can find all important information about the tools and offers of the CCEL used at FHWien der WKW. These are supplemented by an ongoing offer of didactic tips.
For all questions and problems that go beyond the EHC, we also offer personal support. At the central address email@example.com, teachers working at FHWien der WKW can ask questions about technical or didactical problems in e-learning.
Continuing Education & Exchange of Experiences
Our offer is rounded out by continuing education courses and the Digital Learning Teatime. The trainings and workshops introduce the basic functions of the digital learning environment used at FHWien der WKW and show didactic possibilities of use. The Digital Learning Teatimes serve as a collegial exchange of experiences.
In addition to brief clarification of acute questions, we also offer didactic consultations and design possible didactic scenarios for online teaching together with the instructors. Individual workshops for groups of teachers are also possible.
